In 1985, the Bertrand family joined the ranks of the Quarter Midgets of America. Tim raced in the QMA for seven years with an impressive record of 93 feature wins and over 20 regional/national event victories. Since then, BERTRAND MOTORSPORTS has been racing all over the Northeast in the Dirt Mini-Sprint ranks, where Tim Bertrand has over 40 personal wins and 3 Track Championships, and has also joined the Northeast Midget Association (NEMA). Racing a limited schedule with NEMA, the team has become a force to reckon with, amassing many top 5 finishes and three wins. Due to the success in his current profession, Tim Bertrand has chosen to temporarily give up the reins of the Bertrand Midget and the team has teamed with driver Randy Cabral for the 2006 season. 2006 will bring new challenges for the BERTRAND MOTORSPORTS team. Teaming with one of the most talented drivers, Cabral, and undoubtedly the best crew in the sport, Cabral Motorsports, - high expectations abound for the upcoming season.
